mitzi slyly looks over to confirm karlie’s loud news
mitzi: (angrily) were you trying to be secretive? bc i don’t think the entire rooftop heard you
karlie: (slurred) shhhhhhh. we gotta be quiet. he can hear you!
their eyes meet. flustered and embarrassed, mitzi gets up quickly and darts to the stairs.
mitzi: (over her shoulder) karlie, i’ll be right back
karlie nods but has no idea what mitzi has said.
